Position: Automation Technician
Shift: Full Time, Permanent  - Afternoon shift
Monday – Thursday 3:30pm – 2:00am

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Install, setup, maintain, inspect and replace automation systems throughout the production process.
  • Troubleshoot and replace non-functioning components including servos, sensors, control components, PLC, HMI, presses, conveying equipment, pneumatic and hydraulic actuators.
  • Modify and rebuild manufacturing equipment controls to meet new machine requirements or production demands.
  • Proficient in multiple skill sets including electrical field, electronics, fluid power, mechanical systems, and manufacturing processes.
  • Assist Maintenance team with daily troubleshooting, repairs, and PM’s
  • Assist operators in machine setups, adjustments and provide system operation training including JSA as required.
  • Support Engineering efforts through design and application theories
  • Accurately maintain files and documentation
Education and Experience:
  • Graduate of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology (2-3 year Robotic and Automation Program)
  • Experience with automated equipment and processes required – minimum 1 year
  • Solid knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC and HMI programming
  • Familiar with programming and troubleshooting Fanuc robot systems
  • Working knowledge of materials, tooling, machine tools, and/or manufacturing processes is required
  • Experience using computer engineering applications (Autocad, Solidworks, etc) is an asset
