Controls Engineer
CONTROLS ENGINEER - MIDNIGHTS   NOTE: This is a midnights Position JOB SUMMARY: As a Controls Engineer you will have the knowledge of automated assembly systems with a solid understanding of the basic theory of industrial controls system applications, design and operation including concepts of power distribution. You will utilize your ability to trouble shoot to solve problems using creative solutions and improve process while being adaptive to various situations. You will be required to maintain, develop and improve automation controls systems to help increase productivity and efficiency while meeting both facility and customer needs. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Review and input data into PLC log Review shift reports Participation in and preparation for managerial meetings Programming Work across with other facilities Work cross functionally with other departments Utilize team member feedback Find solutions to critical issues Maintain and improve overall equipment efficiency (OEE) HMI performance Evaluate new manufacturing and controls technologies Work with tools to find the root cause of an issue Continuous improvement projects Keep equipment operating and improve equipment uptime by performing periodic audits Identify and implement error proofing requirements throughout the production process Incident reporting SOT walks Follow health and safety processes Act in a proactive and preventative safety behavior Documentation and reports Ensure that you stay up to date on controls technology Stay compliant with training required for position All other duties as assigned EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, or in related fields Years of Experience: 2+ year experience in Automotive Manufacturing/Just-in-Time or Assembly facility 3+ years of experience in a Just in Time (JIT) manufacturing environment.
