Dual License Maintenance Technician

The Role:

Responsible for the repair and maintenance of mechanical, electrical and electronic components to ensure ongoing, cost-effective operations, in a multi-shift environment. Assist with capital and maintenance projects.

What you get to do:

• Repair and maintain packaging and processing equipment.
• Carry out preventative maintenance program.
• Perform facility repairs as required.
• Repair and maintain high speed PLC controlled equipment.
• Provide technical expertise and support to production management.
• Assist the Maintenance and Engineering team with projects and equipment upgrades.
• Repair, upgrade and install electronic controls and equipment.
• Program and modify PLC’s. 
• Work together with equipment Operators to improve line efficiency.

What you bring to the role: 

• Detail – oriented with good organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to understand electrical systems/programs
• Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
• Able to prioritize and handle multiple issues.
• Able to take direction, both verbal and written, and communicate effectively.
• Electronic aptitude.
• Analytical aptitude.
• Must be computer literate.
• Pass mechanical aptitude test.
• Trouble shooting capabilities.
• Ability to bend frequently and lift heavy equipment as required.
• Able to work under stress.
• Willingness to work in a team environment.
• Valid millwright and / or electrician license.
