Salary Range: $75,000-90,000 CAD annually

As our next Electrical Automation & Controls Designer, you will support the design, development, and implementation of electrical control systems used in automation and robotic cells. You’ll work closely with automation engineers, project teams, and manufacturing to deliver reliable, well‑documented electrical designs that support successful machine builds and startups.
Your experience with EPLAN, industrial controls, and hands‑on troubleshooting will contribute to the successful delivery of automation projects across the organization.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Design and develop electrical control systems for automated machinery and equipment.
Create and maintain electrical schematics and documentation using EPLAN.
Support PLC and HMI testing, troubleshooting, and I/O checkout.
Assist with installation, startup, and commissioning activities.
Troubleshoot electrical, controls systems during FAT and startup activities.
Provide remote or on‑site support for equipment issues as required.
Collaborate with engineering and project teams during machine development.
Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with applicable CSA, UL, ISO, and internal standards.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
Post‑secondary education in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Design, Mechatronics, or related discipline.
3–6 years of experience as an Electrical Designer using EPLAN.
Working knowledge of industrial electrical standards (CSA, UL).
Ability to read and create electrical schematics and apply controls design fundamentals.
Experience supporting PLC/HMI‑based systems and machine commissioning activities.
Ability to work independently within a project team environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
