Description

As an Instrumentation Technician, you will perform all aspects of electrical and instrumentation maintenance and repairs at the Pulp Mill.



Responsibilities
  • Perform the required troubleshooting, programming and research to maintain and improve existing distributed controls, programmable controls, mill process controls and electrical distribution systems
  • Bench set valves, calibrate conductivity and PH probes
  • Assist in continuous improvement through cross functional teams
  • On call coverage and shift work may be required


Qualifications
  • Instrumentation Journeyman License
  • Industrial Controls Technology Diploma
  • Industrial experience in a similar industry would be considered an asset 
  • Possess knowledge of Plant Instrumentation and Electrical systems, Emerson and Honeywell Distributed Control Systems, Programmable Logic Controls, Variable Speed Drives (stand alone and coordinated) 
  • Possess working knowledge of high voltage switchgear, transformers and system protection
  • History using a (CMMS) computerized maintenance management system to record work order history
  • Problem Solving ability 
  • Self-motivated and have a strong personal drive 
  • Team player with interpersonal skills 
  • Strong safety aptitude
  • Electrical aptitude
