The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior SAP Automation Engineer with deep expertise in Tricentis Tosca to lead the automation of our SAP S/4HANA ecosystem. In this role, you won't just record and play scripts; you will design robust, scalable automation frameworks that validate complex, end-to-end business processes. You will bridge the gap between technical automation and SAP functional logic to ensure our digital core remains stable through every release.

Responsibilities

  1. SAP Automation Leadership: Design, build, and maintain high-quality Tosca automation assets for SAP S/4HANA, including Fiori apps, standard GUI transactions, and custom RICEFW objects.

  2. Modular Framework Design: Create reusable modules and stable test cases by applying rigorous naming standards, efficient steering parameters, and advanced error-handling strategies.

  3. End-to-End Validation: Map automation to critical SAP business processes (FI, P2P, OTC, SCM, EAM), ensuring data integrity is validated across IDocs, APIs, and RFC integrations.

  4. Regression Management: Design and execute comprehensive regression suites to support System Integration Testing (SIT) cycles and long-term post-go-live operations.

  5. Defect Orchestration: Perform deep-dive analysis on failures to distinguish between script flakiness and genuine functional defects.

  6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with SAP Functional Leads and SMEs to understand business requirements, validate fixes, and re-execute automated tests in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

  1. Tricentis Tosca Mastery: Advanced, hands-on experience (typically 4+ years) specifically using Tricentis Tosca for SAP. AS1, AS2, and TDS certifications are highly preferred.

  2. SAP S/4HANA Domain Knowledge: Solid functional understanding of how data flows between SAP modules and how integrations (APIs/IDocs) impact business outcomes.

  3. Framework Architecture: Proven ability to build "future-proof" automation that survives SAP upgrades and UI changes.

  4. Analytical Troubleshooting: Strong technical problem-solving skills to debug complex automation failures in distributed SAP environments.

  5. Communication: Ability to translate technical automation results into business-relevant quality insights for stakeholders.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with Tosca DEX (Distributed Execution).

  • Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager (SolMan) or Tricentis qTest integration.

  • Prior experience in a large-scale S/4HANA migration or implementation project.
