ekvip automation GmbH is a software company specializing in mechanical and industrial engineering, headquartered in Leipzig with subsidiaries in the U.S. and Sarajevo. The company develops TwinCAT 3 frameworks, C# applications for the machine and line level, and commissioning services for industrial automation projects.
This role is focused on helping build ekvip's PLC programming business in the United States while developing software for plant control and commissioning industrial systems.
Your tasks include developing software for plant control, putting systems into operation, designing and developing reusable framework libraries for customer projects, improving and maintaining existing frameworks for stability and scalability, documenting architecture decisions, defining standards for framework use, improving code quality and maintainability, tracking new trends in automation and software engineering, and eventually helping build and lead a development team.
The ideal candidate has a degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or automation technology; at least 5 years of PLC programming experience with Beckhoff TwinCAT; strong English skills; enthusiasm for international projects; and willingness to spend several years helping grow the U.S. business.
