Who we’re looking for Toyota’s Production Engineering and Maintenance department located at Toyota Auto Body California (TABC) is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Engineering Analyst. The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain press equipment, improving MTTR (Mean Time to Repair) and MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure), through planning, problem solving, and coordination.

The person in this role will support the Production Engineering and Maintenance department's objective to maintain a high equipment operation availability %. This position is based at TABC, Long Beach, CA. The selected candidate will be expected to reside within commutable distance of this location. What you’ll be doing Develop and execute annual plans for equipment inspections, PMs, repairs, upgrades and retrofit for aging parts. Support Stamping & Bodyweld Department Production Processes.

Manage and coordinate major machine repairs with TMNA-PE, Stamping PE, local vendors, as well as OEM and tool makers (planning parts, tools and manpower needs. Tracking Key Performance Indicators and developing improvement plans to close gaps and improve equipment performance. Support training and skill level-up plans through evaluation of Team Members performance and knowledge during equipment repairs. Support OEM requested PLC changes and PLC changes related to troubleshooting and kaizens.

Coordinate weekend work plans to accommodate Production and Equipment Maintenance needs using Toyota systems, (Maximo PM, spare parts tracking, Wire Rope Safety, etc.) What you bring Bachelor’s Degree or higher in engineering or 3+ years of equivalent professional experience in engineering or maintenance Engineering/Project Management experience for projects greater than $100K, including new capital expenditures for equipment installation and repair Experience with PLC’s and controls, robotics, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems including the ability to read, interpret, edit and modify PLC code Experience planning and executingmajorequipment repairs within a manufacturing and/or industrial environment Ability to support shutdown activity (Summer/Winter) including availability for overtime and holiday support Added bonus if you have Experience setting up/teaching robotic processes Experience with Safety PLCs Direct experience with Schuler, Komatsu, H&F, Clearing Niagara, Bliss, Kawasaki and/or Yaskawa stamping/weld equipment Experience creating and managing budget proposals for project activity Automotive manufacturing experience, OEM and/or supplier OSHA 10 Certification What we’ll bring During your interview process, our team can fill you in on all the details of
