Scope:
This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving equipment to ensure optimal performance, safety, and efficiency on the production floor.
Responsibilities:
Perform millwright duties including the repair and troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems and tools.
Interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine and verify work procedures.
Provide troubleshooting support to maintenance personnel on electrical systems, PLC programming, and other technical issues as required.
Operate machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate parts for overhaul, maintenance, or machinery setup.
Complete all required documentation including work orders, time sheets, logbook entries, and line book revisions in a timely manner.
Assist in implementing continuous improvement initiatives on the production line.
Conduct routine preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all assembly equipment.
Recommend critical spare parts requirements to support equipment reliability.
Participate actively in preventative maintenance programs and downtime reduction efforts.
Identify opportunities to improve equipment efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Prepare reports outlining issues encountered during shifts and other relevant updates.
Ensure clean, safe, and organized working conditions at all times.
Demonstrate professionalism in maintaining work area cleanliness and organization.
Comply with TS16949 and ISO14001 standards and requirements.
Follow all departmental procedures and company policies.
Adhere to all company health and safety regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Industrial Millwright Certification (433A)
Minimum 5 years’ experience in the field.
Must be a certified millwright, industrial mechanic or equivalent.
Extensive experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems and tools.
PLC programming and troubleshooting an asset.
Machine Shop and MIG/TIG Welding experience an asset.
Electrical trouble shooting capabilities required.
This role is a night shift position, requiring availability for overnight hours.
