Whether you will spend your day brainstorming in an office cubicle, operating a crane, running manufacturing equipment or troubleshooting technical obstacles, at CMC, you’ll get the training and support from your team that you need to excel in your role and reach your full potential.
What You’ll Do Maintain and repair equipment including overhead cranes, conveyors, heaters, pumps, and hydraulics Troubleshoot quickly to minimize downtime on a continuous process line Perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance Support rapid breakdown recovery and identify root causes Work directly with operations during production Maintain work orders, parts tracking, and failure documentation Improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime Provide fabrication and welding support as needed What You’ll Need 2-4+ years in heavy industrial maintenance Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills Experiencewith motors, drives, PLC basics, and 480V systems Hydraulics and mechanical systems knowledge Overhead crane experience preferred Ability to work in high heat, dusty, zinc-exposure environments Self-sufficient and able to prioritize during downtime Reality of the Role Small team environment — no specialization Work occurs during production, not just shutdowns Exposure to heat, dust, and zinc Success measured by uptime and reliability Your Education High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required We are CMC, a Fortune 500® company at the leading edge of our industry.
