Maintenance Technician (Night Shift)

Basic Job Functions: Responsibilities for the Maintenance Technician include but are not limited to: Safely maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems.

Support plant operations and collaborate across departments to improve equipment reliability, process efficiency, and plant automation. Install and maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled equipment. Read and interpret prints, schematics, and work instructions to complete maintenance activities safely and effectively. Operate tools and material handling equipment while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Support continuous improvement initiatives and follow all safety policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications: Technical degree in an industrial maintenance-related field OR minimum two (2) years of Nucor OR equivalent industrial electrical/mechanical maintenance experience Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications Legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications: Multi-craft industrial maintenance experience Experience troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, and PLC-controlled systems Experience in a continuous manufacturing environment Nucor is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a drug-free workplace
