What you will be doing

With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to:

  • Capture and analyze data to demonstrate the current and future capability of manufacturing processes in relation to component manufacturing
  • Coordinate with the design and engineering teams to deliver component manufacturing solutions that meet the design engineering intent
  • Design and oversee the procurement of tooling, fixtures and gages required for component manufacturing following established best practices and tooling design standards
  • Create and govern the Technical Package (technical instructions, SOPs, tooling, etc.) to clearly define the component manufacturing process
  • Provide technical support to Plant Operations and Maintenance
  • Adhere to process change management procedures via FAIRs, MVAs and technical verification

Basic Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree with 4+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering Or
  • Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering Or
  • Master's degree with experience in Manufacturing Engineering Or
  • JD/PhD
  • 6+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering in lieu of degree
  • In order to be considered you must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience with multiple machining disciplines including broaching and shaping
  • Proficient in Teamcenter, Siemens NX modelling, drafting and manufacturing and Vericut.
  • Knowledge of tooling systems with an emphasis on flat broaches
  • Understanding of machine tool construction and maintenance
  • Experience in statistical data analysis
  • Skilled in both Siemens and Fanuc controlled machines
  • Extensive experience in PFMEA (Process Failure Modes Effects and Analysis), Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, Manufacturing Technology, Process Audits, and Design for Manufacturability/Assembly (DFM/DFA).
  • Knowledge and understanding of DZD (Drive to Zero Defects) and ability to lead cross functional teams of suppliers and RR personnel through this initiative.
  • Knowledge of FAIR (First Article Inspection Report) and Method Validation Approval (MVA) processes.
