Senior Panel Builder

Requirements A successful candidate will be able to support the installation of machinery as required, including assembly, set-up, and machine operation to verify functioning, machine capability and conformance to customer’s specifications. In addition, assisting with assembly and programming of machines in the shop.

Job Duties Responsibilities: Laying out panel back plates Drilling and cutting holes for electrical devices Mounting of components to back panels and enclosures Assemble electrical components into control panel Cut, strip, bend and mount wires to connect electrical units within a panel/control box Point to point wiring of relays, controls, PLCs, I/O Modules, VFDs, interfaces and instrumentation Ability to meet deadlines under pressure High standard of quality and attention to detail Perform all other duties assigned or as needed in a safe and productive manner Qualifications: Communicate issues or quality with co-workers and supervisor

Previous experience with control panel building/wiring is essential Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines knowledge with components such as relays, PLC’s, contactors, power supply’s, etc.

Demonstrable ability to use variety of hand/power tools and test equipment related to panel builder duties Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability Diploma in relevant vocational training Strong mechanical aptitude Familiar with basic hand and power tools Dependable and detail oriented Knowledge of reading electrical schematics and drawings is an asset Remuneration As a progressive employer, Ascension Automation Solutions strives to offer competitive wages and vacation packages, while supporting the continual growth and development of our employees.
