As a Project Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for managing all third-party materials, products, and services for projects in the Americas. Your role will ensure cost efficiency, supplier performance, and strategic alignment with Swisslog’s global goals. - You will oversee all direct materials for our new business and customer service projects across the Americas.
- You will define the supply base for our projects in collaboration with Category Leads, Global Purchasing, local project teams, and Product Centers.
- Manage supplier engagement from initial quotes to final negotiations and contract execution.
- Apply standard terms and conditions and ensure compliance with supplier agreements.
- Draft, review, and negotiate work contracts and agreements.
- Rate suppliers post-project and conduct performance reviews and audits.
- Identifiy and deliver savings opportunities in third-party materials without compromising quality or timelines.
- Apply and optimize the SAP guided workflow for procurement requests.
- Commercial degree with good technical knowledge.
- 2-3 years of experience in operational and strategic procurement, sourcing, supplier management and procurement processes within industrial automation, manufacturing or comparable industries.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage complex supplier relationships.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across global teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
- Ability to prioritize and adjust to changing demands and situations.
- Good and proven knowledge of MS365 Office Suite, SAP R3 MM (Material Management) with focus on procurement transactions
- Working experience in an international company with multiple sites
- Work experience in project business comparable to intralogistics projects (size of projects; technology in HW, SW and automation)
